DOLCE VITA is a remake design of an Italian cook book called “Dolce Vita” (meaning Sweet Life in Italian), written by Gaio Shiloni (RIP). Accompanying the traditional Italian dishes and recepies, are Shiloni’s off-grid remarks.

He manages to inject many heart warming
and surprisingly specific and detailed memories from his early upbringing in Italy. Therefore, this hybrid of a project turned out to be a special homage to Gaio and his family heritage.

From a normal cook book it has become a personal diary, which gives voice to Gaio’s naive remarks and tries to preserve the essence of the Italian food culture from northen Piemonte to southern Sicily.
